Our mala has 84 beads, and important and spiritual number in Tibetan culture. Each bead is 0.4 inches (10mm) in size.
Get comfortable and hold one of the beads between you thumb and index finger and as you meditate use your thumb to push each bead away from you.
Turn one bead for every breath your take or every mantra you count. Within ten minutes, you should feel your third eye chakra begin to awaken. When you reach the guru bead, you may choose to stop meditating, or you may reverse the direction of your mala.
